According to Spanish television channel *Sexta*, Paris Saint-Germain has made contact with those close to Fede Valverde, but the Uruguayan midfielder is not looking to leave Real Madrid.
Reporter Marcos Benito of *Sexta* stated: “Valverde is currently training at home. Due to a wound, the club has prohibited him from certain types of exercise, such as strength training. The medical team recommends more gentle activities. Tomorrow, Real Madrid’s medical staff will re-examine him, and he will try to return to Valdebebas (Real Madrid’s training ground) by Friday to train with his teammates.
In the past few hours, more precisely over this weekend, a top European club – one that is currently among the very best, PSG – has reached out to Valverde’s entourage. They wanted to understand his situation and the feasibility of signing him this summer. This does not mean Valverde wants to leave Real Madrid, nor has Real Madrid given him any indication to leave. There is absolutely nothing of the sort. However, PSG has definitely made the first move. They want to know what’s happening – specifically, his displeasure with Aurélien Tchouaméni – and made it clear that if at any point he wishes to leave Real Madrid, the door at PSG will be wide open. So Valverde now has a backup plan. A very significant one, with a team that could even be the next Champions League winner. I’ve been told that PSG’s sporting director, Luis Campos, has expressed interest. He has contacted those around Valverde and conveyed that if he wants to leave Real Madrid, there will always be a place for him in the PSG squad.
Valverde’s wish is to become captain of Real Madrid next season, and if Dani Carvajal is not there, he would be the first in line. His priority is to stay. But he wants to know – or I think it’s good for him to explore all options on the table. He is now fully aware that PSG has the capability to sign him. If Real Madrid puts him on the market, I’ve heard the fee would be between €80 million and €100 million, depending on whether the club truly wants to sell him. If Real Madrid wants to sell, they would lower the price.”
