The Portuguese defender became the first player in history to win league titles in four of Europe’s top five leagues – the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, and the Bundesliga. Previously, he had won the Premier League with Manchester City, Serie A with Juventus, and the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. His LaLiga victory with Barcelona surpasses the achievements of stars like Cristiano Ronaldo (who won three different top-league titles) and David Beckham (who conquered four leagues but not all within the top five European leagues).
Cancelo, who had failed to win the Spanish top flight during his earlier loan spell at Barcelona, returned on a temporary deal from Al-Hilal in January to make history.
