Rafa Jódar keeps his winning streak alive. In his debut at the Rome Masters, he defeated Matteo Arnaldi in three sets after two hours of play. The Spaniard from Leganés will face Tien in the next round, closing out the match with scores of 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
Darderi took advantage of home soil to eliminate Tommy Paul in three sets. The Italian recovered from a 3-6 loss in the first set and sealed the match with a convincing 6-2.
Swiatek advanced easily against Cocciaretto, winning 6-1, 6-0.
